Special Projects

The CCR&R Council’s Special Projects were developed to increase focus on four key areas—Family Child Care, Healthy Social Behaviors, Birth-to-Three Quality and School Age—and to offer child care professionals related training opportunities and resources.

N.C. Statewide Family Child Care Project (FCC)

The N.C. Statewide FCC Project is committed to supporting and enhancing family child care across North Carolina.

Healthy Social Behaviors Project (HSB)

The HSB Project is dedicated to promoting healthy social-emotional development and reducing the expulsion rate among young children in licensed child care centers across North Carolina.

Birth-to-Three Quality Initiative

The Birth-to-Three Quality Initiative was established to improve the quality and availability of care for children ages birth to three in North Carolina through forming collaborative partnerships with teachers and directors.

The North Carolina School Age Initiative (NCSAI)

The North Carolina School Age Initiative works to improve the quality and availability of school age care and provide training to school age providers across the state.
