Lori Jones is the Interim Executive Director for Southwestern Child Development Commission, Inc.  Lori works within the statewide CCR&R system to provide guidance and support to Lead CCR&R Agencies in Regions 5, 8, 10 and 11.  In this role, she is also a member of the NC CCR&R Council.  Lori holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Carolina University and has completed graduate level seminars in Child Care Administration through Wheelock College, Boston MA.

Lori first started working at Southwestern Child Development Commission, Inc. in December of 1986 and over the years has focused on understanding every aspect of early childhood administration, including 10 years as the NC CCR&R School Age Project Manager and most recently the Regional Progams Manager.  During her tenure, she has served on numerous local, regional, state and national early childhood education boards and committees. 

​Lori’s work experience and background with Southwestern includes child care program administration, human resources management, child care subsidy systems administration, non-profit leadership and compliance, child care resource and referral administration, project development, grant writing, and policy development.
